Topic: Equity-Informed Mediation & Conflict Resolution: Negotiating Agreements with Facilitative Mediation
Facilitative Mediation supports parties in directly working through conflict and negotiating their own lasting agreements while sitting at the same table. In this interactive presentation, learn what makes this a cost-effective strategy, including some of the basic tools used by the mediators to encourage settlement and overcome impasse.
Both our presenters are non-lawyer mediators with decades of experience.
Stuart Watson has been a professional mediator for 15 years. He is a Family Mediator with Oregon Divorce Guides, a Mediation Trainer and Neighborhood Mediator with Resolutions Northwest, the author of “Breaking Through: The Relationship Repair Game,” and the Co-Founder of the Oregon Network for Compassionate Communication.
Renee Bove has been a community, workplace, and family mediator for over 20 years with Resolutions Northwest and Clackamas Dispute Resolution. She has taught mediation in several war-torn countries, and is a Trainer with the Alternatives to Violence Project.
